DreamWorks Land opened in June 2024 on the ground that held Woody Woodpecker's KidZone for two decades. It is bright, it is built around Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda, and it is the single reason a family with a preschooler can spend a full day at this park rather than half of one.

Trolls Trollercoaster is the ride, a small family coaster on the old Nuthouse Coaster track with a 36-inch requirement. Po's Kung Fu Training Camp is a climbing and play structure, there are splash and water-play areas that will get children properly wet, and a stage show and character meets run on a published schedule.

The honest framing is that this is a play area with a coaster in it, not a land of attractions. An adult without a child in tow has no reason to walk here. With a child under 48 inches, it is the most useful acre in the park and the place to spend the hottest part of the afternoon, because the water play is real and there is shade.

Bring a change of clothes or accept wet shoes. The splash zones are not a light mist, and there is no dryer here.

DreamWorks Land tips

Pack a change of clothes and a towel if you have children under about eight. The water play here is not decorative and they will use all of it.
There is no substantial quick-service in this land. Mel's Drive-In in Hollywood is the closest real meal, about four minutes away.
Use this land in the early afternoon, which is when the rest of the park is at its worst and this corner is at its best.
Check the show and character times in the app when you arrive. This land runs on a schedule more than any other part of the park and wandering in blind wastes the trip.

Trolls Trollercoaster

A small family coaster at 36 inches, the lowest coaster requirement in the park and most children's first roller coaster.

Trolls Trollercoaster runs on the compact track that carried Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster for two decades, rethemed when DreamWorks Land opened in June 2024. It is a small Zierer-style family coaster: one lap, gentle dips, no inversions, about a minute end to end.

Tips for Trolls Trollercoaster

This is the lowest coaster height requirement in the park at 36 inches. If you are travelling with a child near that number, measure them before you build a day around it.
Ride first thing. The queue is uncovered and DreamWorks Land gets very hot by late morning.
Adults sit with their knees up in these cars. If you have knee or hip problems, it is a genuinely uncomfortable minute.
Rider switch is available, which matters here more than you would expect because the queue is slow relative to the ride length.
Do not spend an Express Pass on this. The queue rarely justifies it and the ride is sixty seconds long.

Po's Kung Fu Training Camp

A Kung Fu Panda climbing and play structure with water elements, and the best place in the park to let a small child burn off an hour.

Po's Kung Fu Training Camp is a themed play structure with climbing elements, obstacles and water features, aimed at roughly the four-to-ten age band. It opened with DreamWorks Land in June 2024 on the ground the old KidZone play areas occupied.

Tips for Po's Kung Fu Training Camp

Bring a change of clothes and a towel. The water elements soak children rather than cooling them.
Adults cannot follow children onto most of the structure. Pick a viewing position with a sightline to the exits before you let them in.
Use this in the early afternoon when the ride queues elsewhere in the park are at their worst.
Seating for adults is limited and only partly shaded. Send one adult ahead to claim a bench while the other manages the queue for Trolls Trollercoaster.

Shrek's Swamp Meet

Scheduled meets with Shrek and Donkey on a built swamp set, and the best-staged character encounter in the park.

Shrek and Donkey meet on a constructed set dressed as the swamp from the films, complete with the outhouse and the sign. It is a proper environment rather than a backdrop, which puts it well ahead of the park's other character offerings on presentation.

Tips for Shrek's Swamp Meet

Check the times when you enter the land. Everything in DreamWorks Land runs on a schedule and arriving blind wastes half of it.
The swamp set is worth photographing on its own, and you can do that without queueing for the characters.
Queue early in a set rather than late; the last few groups before a break get a noticeably rushed interaction.
There is partial shade here, which is more than the Minion Land or Production Central meets offer.

DreamWorks Imagination Celebration

A short outdoor song-and-dance show with DreamWorks characters, pitched at preschoolers and running several times a day.

The stage show in DreamWorks Land runs several times a day and puts characters from Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar through a twenty-minute song-and-dance set with audience participation. It is aimed at children under about eight and does not pretend otherwise.

Tips for DreamWorks Imagination Celebration

Check the schedule when you enter the land rather than wandering back later. Sets are spaced widely.
Shade in the viewing area is partial. Take the left-hand side in the afternoon, which catches the building shadow first.
Stand at the back with a noise-sensitive child. The volume at the front is genuinely high.
Pair it with the play area rather than treating it as a destination. It is twenty minutes, not an event.
