What it is
Trolls Trollercoaster runs on the compact track that carried Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster for two decades, rethemed when DreamWorks Land opened in June 2024. It is a small Zierer-style family coaster: one lap, gentle dips, no inversions, about a minute end to end.
Its value is entirely about the height stick. At 36 inches it is the lowest coaster requirement at this park, and for a great many children this is the first roller coaster they will ever ride. It is well judged for that job — enough movement to feel like an achievement, nothing that would put a nervous five-year-old off coasters for good.
An adult riding alone will find it over before it starts. That is not a criticism of the ride, which is doing exactly what it is built to do.
What riding it is actually like
The queue is short, low and mostly uncovered, running alongside the track so children can watch the cars go past. Cars are small and seat two, and adults sit with their knees up.
The lap runs one circuit with a small lift, a first dip that produces a genuine reaction from a first-timer, and a series of turns and bunny hops. There is no moment on it that could frighten a child who was willing to get on.
It is done in about a minute. The right way to use it is as the first coaster of a child's life rather than as an attraction an adult queues for, and having the same adult ride it three times in a row is a normal outcome here.
Is Trolls Trollercoaster scary?
A small outdoor family coaster with gentle dips and no real drop. It is designed as a first coaster and it does that job well. The only children who struggle are ones who dislike the lap bar or the feeling of being restrained, rather than anything the ride does.

Transfer into a small coaster car with a lap bar and a step over the side, which is awkward for an adult with limited mobility riding alongside a child. The queue is short and largely uncovered.
Tips that actually help
- This is the lowest coaster height requirement in the park at 36 inches. If you are travelling with a child near that number, measure them before you build a day around it.
- Ride first thing. The queue is uncovered and DreamWorks Land gets very hot by late morning.
- Adults sit with their knees up in these cars. If you have knee or hip problems, it is a genuinely uncomfortable minute.
- Rider switch is available, which matters here more than you would expect because the queue is slow relative to the ride length.
- Do not spend an Express Pass on this. The queue rarely justifies it and the ride is sixty seconds long.
