Hollywood Ride Guide
One page per holiday, covering both US resorts: what actually runs, what it costs, and whether the crowds are worth it.
Holiday
Universal Orlando has confirmed its 2026 holiday season, with park entertainment included with admission and an optional paid Holiday Tour. Hollywood’s 2026 holiday event guide gives only a November–December window, so its exact dates still need confirmation. See the Orlando event guide for its confirmed dates.
Holiday
In 2026, Halloween Horror Nights runs at Universal Studios Florida on 49 select nights from August 28 through November 1 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on 42 select nights from September 3 through November 1. Both are separately ticketed horror events; choose the coast, date and ticket type before planning the rest of the trip.
Holiday
Universal Orlando is the only one of the two resorts that sells a New Year's Eve product, and it is a ticketed CityWalk party rather than a park event, which makes the decision here unusually simple and unusually easy to get wrong.
Holiday
Spring break hits the two Universal resorts on completely different schedules, and knowing which one applies to your dates is worth more than every queue tactic combined: Orlando is busy for six weeks straight while Hollywood only really feels the Easter fortnight.
Holiday
Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood hit the same afternoon temperature in July and deliver completely different days, because one of them has 75 percent humidity and daily lightning and the other has neither.
